For You Poem by MAD DEW

For You

I would have gone through the ringer for you
But now here is a middle finger for you
Because I was there when you needed someone
But where were you when I was holding that gun
Pressing the barrel hard against my skull
Thinking about if I should just end it all?
You know that I went out of my way to make sure you were alright
But where were you when I was crying myself to sleep at night?
I was always trying to help you out with your diminished self worth
But where were you when I felt like the lowest thing on this earth?
It is funny how I was a great person to be with when you were low
But when I was low, you acted like I wasn't someone you know
But you know what? It is really all okay
Because I am gonna make it someday
And when you got problems you can go ahead and take them elsewhere
Because when I was down you never really made a point of being there
I don't give a damn if you got mental issues that need resolving
Or you got some car problems you need a mechanic to be solving
You know those problems ain't mine
So stick em where the sun don't shine
Don't care if it is a stinger to you
It is just my middle finger to you
