The nation echoes sorrowful songs
Something terrible has happened
It is not for the first time
That we are tearful
What was hidden inside
Is now out in the open
We held our hands together
And our hearts have gone wild
This breeze of disunity
The bewildered situation
Of a scarred people
The nation speaks a language
Of its own
We were destined to meet
And our lives are now full of tears
Suffering is now a part of our lives
We wonder what happened
It all seems like a dream
It feels like we are
Not meant to be together
The seed of discontent has been
Sowed deep within
And the flag is drenched in deceit
The setting of the dream
In the distant past
We have lost to our anthem
