For The Second Of March Poem by Francis Duggan

For The Second Of March

Rating: 5.0

The temperature quite close to forty degrees
And warmth in the sunshine and warmth in the breeze
In the mostly blue sky just a few clouds of gray
It is warm so warm in the Moyne Shire today
For the second day of March in the southern calendar Fall
Weatherwise it does not seem like Autumn at all
The weather of late has been acting so strange
Unseasonal conditions can be linked to climate Change
In the news headlines parts of eastern victoria from fire under attack
Where many kilometers of countryside is burned black
And human lives under threat and many animals and birds have died
From the heat of the flames in the fire ravaged countryside
For the second of March an unseasonal day
It is so very warm in the Moyne Shire today
