it's been a whole year without you
sometimes I wonder about you
I wonder if you were all right with passing on

it's been a whole year and I remember
I think the memory will last forever
when we found out that you were gone

I feel you sometimes, watching us now
and I think you know it had to happen somehow
I just hope you know you went too soon

do you know how much we still care for you?
do you know how much love is still there for you?
do you know I am writing about you on a Wednesday afternoon?

I hope you hear me whisper to the empty space
you know you'll always have your place
we miss you and we hope that we'll see you again someday

when our time runs out, we'll see you again someday
and I think maybe that makes the end okay
as long as we know we'll see you again someday

through the tears we had to cope
and in the end it brought us hope
you helped us so much to believe

we're so many worlds apart
but you're with us in our hearts
and that's a world I know you'll never leave
