He sits in dark lonesome
Candlelight sees pure heart
Eyeing blood of poet
Burning art for money

Burning art for money- - -> that is a very powerful statement succinctly said! ! ! Well written with pen and heart! 10
Thank you so much, Susan! Kerouac did burn a lot of his earlier works because he believed they were true art. And he didn't want to earn one cent from them. Of course, that changed down the road.
