For Me To Live In Poem by Francis Duggan

For Me To Live In

For a better World for me for to live in
With my own self i do have to begin
And in this instance what applies to me also applies to you
With some self improvement most people could do
In the early twenty first century human greed has come to the fore
People already with enough of money are greedy for more
The people who help those of helping in need
By their compassion and kindness sow karma's good seed
Of the praises of compassion and kindness i feel happy to sing
But to practice what you preach is not an easy thing
Action speaks louder that words as they say
One can only admire those who perform a good deed or two every day
For a better World for me for to live in
With my own self i do have to begin.
