For Ever More
light as life,
dark as death,
the man lies on the ground
an ocean of blood drained from his body.
she weeps at his side
her dress and hands bathed in his blood
the bullet was meant for her.
he died so she could live.
one bullet left in the chamber.
her face full of tears,
the trigger is pulled.
finally she is with her lover
and will be for ever more
