Footsteps In The Sand

Rating: 5.0

Footsteps are found,
Found on grainy sand,
Across the horizon’s ocean,
Of a sunny mind,
Shiny paper,
Wrapped together,
Together with wasted words,
You sit on the edge,
The edge of a cliff,
Wondering, staring down,
At the footsteps,
Millions of stories told,
Held up in a shape,
See how the other were living,
Never will the clock stop,
Ticking away it will,
A crystal palace,
By the footsteps in the sand,
Hair covering your glassy eyes,
Your frown in sorrow,
Watercolor,
Brushed across the highway’s lights,
Music underneath,
The rocky ground,
On this sea cliff of remedy,
I’ll find the singing seraph again,
In the footsteps,
In the footsteps on the sand,
Next to the rainbow’s fall,
Finally you look up,
Dried eyes, hopeful line,
By the footsteps,
Footsteps in the sand.
