Foolish Dream
I look back and think,
of all the time,
I spent dreaming,
a foolish dream.
I shouldn't be looking,
back at what,
could've been,
but never was.
I should look forward,
at the good things I have,
and how my life will be better,
without you there.
This is it,
the very last thing,
I'll ever say,
to you.
You weren't worth,
a broken heart,
so now all I'll say,
is good-bye.
Its not easy to let go, but once in a while we find ourselves in situations where we need to choose to let go or cling when we know exactly we are not wanted.....thats the cross roads where most of us make wrong decisions....im glad at your age, you have good attitude...great poem Katherine.....keep them coming sister!
