Flying Elephant Poem by Sumit Ganguly

Flying Elephant

Rating: 5.0

What's that tank on four pillars
with a swaying pipe in front
and dangling rope at the end?
Lara was spellbound at the zoo.

Her mom smiled and said,
‘It's called an elephant- weighty vegetarian,
has thick skin and long African ears.'
Lara asked ‘Mom, can it fly using ear-wings? '

Lara's dream came true a few hours later.
A little elephant with decorated wings
came and put Sarah on its back.
Lara was flying over trees and cloud.

Gentle air kissed her face,
rivers and hills were moving back
she moved round a new rainbow
and safely came back next morning.

Next time Lara visited the zoo,
the big elephant and its kid
nodded and smiled at her,
so she smiled and said ‘Hello' to them.

Thank you. Everyone's dear are own name and mother tongue. When you apply both, it draws a special attraction.
