Flowers On The Fenceline Poem by chris littlejohm

Flowers On The Fenceline

Flowers growing on the fence line,
Can they survive the test of time?
Apocalyptic aftermath
Will they succumb to natures wrath

Flowers growing on the fence line
Fear will not keep them from trying
Birds and bees' do stop on their paths
Asking where to find strength like that

Flowers growing on the fence line
Now so close their vines intertwine
Spring has finally come and passed
Hoping and praying the seeds last

Flowers wilting on the fence line
Fall has come now they are dying
Evenings flew by and they lost track
Their last petal falls with no regrets!
