My Dearest Friend Poem by chris littlejohm

My Dearest Friend

My Dearest Friend I Sit Here Again,
Thinking Of You As I Do Every Night
Before I Let My Mind Drift Into
A Sweet And Quiet Serenity.

I Think About How Life Would Be Like
Without You And I Think About How
Life Would Be If There Was Never An 'Us'
If What We Have Become Over Th Past Year
Had Never Happened And We Never Became 'We'?

But Even With These Overwhelming
Thoughts Of Not Having You. I
Would Never Want To Experience Losing You Again. So I Lay There Thinking About Other Things.
