Flowers From Trees Poem by Christopher Tye

Flowers From Trees

Flowers From Trees

Poinciana Trees with their showy flowers in the tropics,
Hawthorns flowering in May with red or white petals,
Cherry blossoms in full bloom showing spring is here,
Tulip Trees reaching two hundred feet high flowering all the way to the top,
Cucumber Tree's fragrant flowers giving way to their signature fruit,
Common Lilacs bringing colour to English gardens,
Elders giving us Elderflower cordial,
White Frangipani Trees releasing their exquisite fragrance.
