Flower 15 - The Pink Uttara Phalguni
She stands royally like a pretty princess,
Soft pink petals, rosy cheeks that caress,
Sweet lady dreaming of her gallant lover,
Sensitive to touch, secured by olive green leaves.
Utterly charming, like in the constellation of Leo,
Unveiling, two stars, one bright, the other faint Leonies;
Uttara Phalguni is the beautiful Nerium Oleander,
Upright flowers that proclaim creator's ornamentation!
These pink blooms have remained a delightful memory,
They were a part of my growing up, cheerful, fun days,
Their mild fragrance, i carried with me in all walks of life,
Thanking them for the gleeful, healthy pink positive vibes!
Uttara Phalguni is her enchanting name,
Unique, in her own elegant style and fame!
A Sonnet
This is the difference between the ordinary and extraordinary. While the former sees something beautiful, smiles a bit and let it pass. But the latter- artist or a true lover of nature- does portray it (with brush or by pen) and immortalize the same.
