Five Liner- Winter In The West Poem by Valsa George

Five Liner- Winter In The West

Rating: 4.6

To escape the bite of frost at night
People slide their torso into tightly made beds
They wrap themselves in several folds of wool
Forming into cocoons and lie down hibernating
To emerge like butterflies in spring

A very apt description. Bundling up is cozier than the sweaty sheets of summer.

This is a wonderful poem Valsa ma'am.. The comparison between butterflies and human beings is aptly placed and brings a joy to the reader.. Minutely observed, wonderfully crafted.. Thank you for sharing.

A beautiful painting on how to cope with the cold breezy weather of winter. A poetic gem in five lines. The two closure lines are just marvelous! So beautifully crafted with superb imagery. Five Marks! ! !
