Five And Thirty Years Young Poem by Josey Alfred

Five And Thirty Years Young

Rating: 5.0

Five and thirty years young
Me and my loving darling wife
Spent in this busy world in haste,
We kept running our darling kids.

We did our best to make them fit,
In this daunting world so tight
To find the rightful place for them
And work in blissful world and live.

Almighty God with boundless love
Guided us with his graceful hands
To trod in world in measured steps.
And to walk in love, he led us all.

In peaceful yet in all tiring rounds
We rolled our yonder years around
Hard work and patient steps alone
Gave us this lasting joys with grace

Now that we both, look back and find
That life is sweet that endures well
In spite of hardships passed just by
Still win with care and grace of God.

What more we want to cherish now?
Than their devotion and loving care,
Gesture and loving care, over-flow
And fill up our hearts with contentment.

Our loving grand-children and partners sweet
And all the lovely angels sweet
They do fill our vacant whiles alive
And fill our dreams with flowers live.

What more we need now in this life?
Than the love they shower on us
Praises be unto great loving God
Who gave us all this and this life.

We thank him our loving God
For he granted us this sweet life,
And for he made us “man and wife”
In this world so filled with grace.

I find here the musings of a contented soul. You nursed your fledglings until they learned to fly for themselves. Now all of them have flown off to greater heights, yet they return to their nest to give their parents love and companionship! Having led a fruitful life, now you are relaxing with your companion! Let this happiness continue to stay in your life by the grace of God!
