Fit In Poem by SkyeZia Barletta

Fit In

Rating: 5.0

A little hard having to fit in
I'm glad I've been doing okay
With a little push, a shove and a throw free.
These mistakes are all you see.
Not allowed to be me, in a world
In a world you've brought me into so Freely, you confuse me...
Stealing what I am, taking my dreams

You see these butterflies blatant
Fluttering,
Have you seen me?
Beneath my own soul muttering
To myself
Chained is my soul a far, far road
From home.
Would you, would you please let me in?
Could I, could I just fit in?

Made to believe that I was thee heir
To the throne that you bared.
So beautifully, beautifully this wasn't pretend
I was only 10...
I traced the steps
Laid out for me, by her majesty
This wasn't where I was going,
This is the direction my arrow hadn't
Been showing

Now watch me slip, slip away.
To a place my smile wants to stay,
A healthy being is set free
A soulless painting that missed its creed.
