First Signs Of Spring Poem by Ellen Ni Bheachain

First Signs Of Spring

Rating: 5.0

The first signs of Spring bring smiles and joy to us all,
It is the beginning of rebirth in nature,
After the cold winter chills,
As skies of grey,
Turn to clear skies of cool winds blowing,

Taking away the mundane feelings of Winter blues,
As the first signs of Spring,
Start to diminish,
In our seasonal effective winter faces,
Replacing winter chills to sunny cool breezes,

It brings life and renewal back to the cold plains,
Springing buds that will flourish,
Which will open in full bloom,
The first signs of Spring are a beginning for us all,

Spring,
Is the time to see how it all begins,
For what is way beneath the ground or hibernating,
In the Spring shows itself and nature in its splendour,
For what decays and withers,
The Spring shows its second coming,
So just like Spring,
Lay low and rest,
And when ready?
Begin again,

The young of the cattle and the Spring of the lambs,
Are all the first signs of Spring,
As the sun shines a bit warmer,
The colour of our face glow brighter,
And just like the Spring lambs,
Put a Spring in our steps,

For winter chill time,
Keeps us indoors a lot,
When the first signs of Spring show,
The elders can get out more,
For Spring brings safer passage,
For our elders to venture out,

We all get more cheerful,
We all feel more energised,
With Spring cleaning our dwellings,
And rearranging our winters schedules,
Where we also do not dwell so much,
As we are more active now that it is Spring,

Spring,
Is the time to see how it all begins,
For what is way beneath the ground or hibernating,
In the Spring shows itself and nature in its splendor,
For what decays and withers,
The Spring shows it's second coming,
So just like Spring,
Lay low and rest,
And when ready?
Begin again,

Winter chills keep us in a lot,
Where we dwell too much in thinking,
And sad we may get,
From thinking or dwelling too much in the past,
We welcome the first signs of Spring,

To welcome the first signs of Spring,
Gives us time to shake off,
That seasonal affective disorder,
That comes with too much time to think,
And being cooped in too much,
Which makes us S.A.D. which we all feel sometimes,

It is good to Spring clean our thinking,
For to clear our thinking,
For a clearer future,
Putting the unwanted past in the past,
Springing forth a new perspective,
And for some,
Starting a new life,

Spring,
Is the time to see how it all begins,
For what is way beneath the ground or hibernating,
In the Spring shows itself and nature in its splendor,
For what decays and withers,
The Spring shows its second coming,
So just like Spring,
Lay low and rest,
And when ready?
Begin again,

Forgiving helps you start anew,
To forget?
It may happen again,
We may choose to forget for a while,
To help us heal and grow back inside,
In starting again or re-birthing the past,
With a new attitude,
To help you build new foundations,
This time round much stronger.

From what lay beneath the ground during winter chills,
Springs renews in growth,
When Mother Nature shows her splendor,
Come the first signs of Spring,
We all start feeling better within,

So, whether together or alone,
You can feel the S.A.D. of Winter chills,
Just remember no matter what the season?
The first signs of Spring will happen inside,
When you are ready to begin.

Spring,
Is the time to see how it all begins,
For what is way beneath the ground or hibernating,
In the Spring shows itself and nature in its splendor,
For what decays and withers,
The Spring shows it's second coming,
So just like Spring,
Lay low and rest,
And when ready?
Begin again.
