First Love

First love is never forgotten
You treasure it throughout your life
In your mind wrapped in soft cotton
To keep it sharp like a new knife

From time to time you take it out
Reliving the long ago scene
And in your mind there is no doubt
That it has not lost any sheen

This picture is love-begotten
The memory is sharp and clear
Never will it be forgotten
As it's one you hold very dear

Poem of the Day

poet Pablo Neruda

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
