First Kiss Poem by Neil Glass

First Kiss

We looked into each others eyes
My heart thumped harder and harder,
We touched hands then my heart stopped,
I smiled at you and the look on your face was as if all your dreams had just come true.

We touched first our hands then we linked arms,
Before we wrapped ourselves up in each other,
Hugging and cuddling we gazed at each other dreaming of heavenly things,

Slowly we both moved forward until our noses touch,
Still gazing into each others eyes like we were locked on target,
Our lips touch just a peck then another and another, the sweetest picture.

I whispered your name softly before we kissed,
For the first time I closed my eyes, our warm lips bonded,
A warm feeling rushed through my body,
A heat rush from head to toe.

I could feel my cheeks burning up, as we slowly, softly, warmly kissed for what might have been just a short minute but to me a marathon.
My dream had come true,
I was in heaven.
