First Date (Secret Message Poem) Poem by Ronald Chapman

First Date (Secret Message Poem)

I was daydreaming about this beautiful girl who
Was looking at me with pearl eyes. I began
Thinking about, how much fun it would be to speak
About things with
You.

I looked up out of my dreams. There
Was this adorable girl standing in front of me. I was
Thinking about,
How can I ask you out on a date?
I began wondering. What
Can I offer you to bring myself to
Talk to you,
To say Hi! to you. But
You then asked,

How do you like your coffee?
I said, 'With cream and sugar please.'
Can I ask you something too? How can I
Find you again? You say,
The day is almost in the end.
Courage begins to grow in my soul
To ask you.

Say, 'How about some dinner with me, at eight? '
Hello, I can't wait!
To see
You again for our first date.

The secret revealed:
'I was thinking about you. I was thinking how I can talk to you. How I can find the courage to say hello to you.'
