Fire Tongued Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Fire Tongued

Fire tongued utterances of the Lord,
O Bounty bounteous, blossom out
In cadences compellingly candid
That the entire human lot readily respond
With harp and lyre, singing and dancing around
The arduous note of command thunders forth
Nevertheless, the illuminated mind seizes the benignness implied
Awesome syllables rush out from the devotees‘ lips,
Gradually picking up eloquence intense,
Yet some just whisperings, yet others thunderous
O Lord, may my whisperings be temptingly beauteous
Utterances lordly, full of majesty, resounding all varied notes
