Finding God.... Poem by RIC BASTASA

when God has touched
your heart
it burns, and this fire
provides the light
to your new path away
from the cold darkness
which kept you away from
an age of realization.

when you go back you find
an old place that repulses
your senses now, you meet the
one you love before but which
make you think how foolish you
are, you are taken back to
a stupidity of an old self and
then you tell yourself
what weakness and instability
was there,

then you move on with your life
following God, and confident in
his power, not yours.
