Figurines Poem by Ivan Donn Carswell

Figurines

the easy way is to not
recognise a finger in the
plate to mean a threat

there are no arched eyes
and the tongue licking is with
gusto not misconception of taste;

too real is a belief yet
unrealised, and these
are not your figurines
