Fifty Years Of Caring Poem by John A. Hancock

Fifty Years Of Caring

Fifty years ago upon an open meadow
A dream took root from all who gather'd there
To build a home for are treasured seniors
Rising upon a foundation of love and care
A place where empathy and compassion bloom'd
From a seed planted nourished by a common need
To make the golden twilight years our seniors earn'd
From all the love they pass'd on to you and me
Today while all here in attendance we pause
To acknowledge what joy this humble place provides
And for 'Fifty Years of Caring' we are truly thankful
Whilst we await the birth of our new home just outside
So let us all join in celebration
With happy smiles and good cheer
To gratefully honor those wingless angels
We lovingly call our volunteers
