Festive Joy Poem by Phil Soar

Festive Joy

The Festive season's on the way
The tree is coming out today
And maybe we will all be fascinated
To stand and brighten up the room
As Christmas always comes too soon
And all things non-festive are un-related

The decoration takes all day
As we have put them all away
And every year we don't know where to find them
We gather around that bloody tree
And argue where each piece should be
As we left all the good tidings right behind them

With the tree in it's position
It's the end of one more mission
As the next 10 weeks should get us in the mood
But as far as I'm concerned
The bloody lot should have been burned
And I'm sorry if my feelings are quite rude
