Feelings At A Loss Poem by Karen Degnan-foiles

Feelings At A Loss

To the earth, death is life's tool
But not to a mother, sister or nephew

You think you're strong
When not shedding a tear

You're really hurting your heart
As your loved ones despair

They can see your agony
They share in your pain

They wait for your melt-down
As their hearts feel a pang

Let it all out and feel the pain
Do not let your feelings distain

It'll hurt, but only for a while
Soon you'll feel
You're heart is no longer on trial
