Feather Pillow Talk Poem by Ima Ryma

Feather Pillow Talk

Rating: 5.0

Mr. Rufous-necked hornbill tells
Mrs. Rufous-necked hornbill that
It's been longest of bird dry spells
Lovemaking in their habitat.
He says to her, 'This time around, '
'A better Dad I'll try to be.'
But the Missus at him just frowned,
'Last time the work was all on me, '
'While you gallivanted about, '
'Treating parenting like a whim.'
He says, 'I'll be better no doubt! '
She really does not believe him.

He pleads, 'More offspring let us make.'
She replies, 'I have a headache.'
