Fearing Your Fragileness Poem by Dorsey Baker

Fearing Your Fragileness

feeling inferior and weak
struggling through life
on a losing streak
you've pushed the button
but it does not respond
too fragile
your emotions to maintain
the human bond
someone seeks the warmth
of your body and its closeness
in contrast to what
you have experienced
you hold firm to your
sense of dignity
your deep seated belief
that love unites
and all the compassion it excites
delving into deeper darkness
your thoughts become invisible
all your convictions ripped apart
by a flood of impotence
and self doubt
