Fear Poem by MERAJ UDDIN

Fear

Rating: 2.7

Her loud whisper didst disturb me
Ere I fell on the earth on my knee
She sounded so sweet and so sad
I didst stop a passing young lad.
I asked, ‘Do you know anyone around here? ’
He seemed to get startled and hurried there.
In a moment in dark he did disappear
And the whisper did sound quite near.
The sweet sad sound seemed seriously sorry
And I stood there struck with fear and worry.
Each passing moment seemed like an age
My sight was filled with a dreadful image.
In fear and terror I made the best use of my feet
And reached a place of abode through the street
