Favourite Friend Poem by Esther Negbo

Favourite Friend

Rating: 1.0

Last night I dreamt of you in my dreamy world.
I saw what we had and dreams we hoped for
I wanted to wake up to life when I felt pain behind
But I couldn't stand up to reality cos of the sweetness

I hallowed at you in dismal cos I saw a black scandal in your scar
I couldn't stand the sight of it so
I got a white brush to brush it off
Aha! the harder I try the darker it turns
I kept pushing only to see my white brush turn black
I looked at you my favourite friend
only to see you smiling with the scandal
I got fused and disturbed

Surprisingly I got a tap on my shoulder frm you my favourite friend
saying

"You can't do away with every scar friend
its going to be there for a reminder
its the memory of our adventure
the only thing I will get to see when we stop being favourites...

A time shall come we'll betray each other
We'll forget how we started
But the scar won't
Cos its the actual favourite
It sticks there till the end
And never goes away"
