Father, On Your Birthday Poem by annaliza demosarzagon

Father, On Your Birthday

Father, on your birthday

Been a long time, time sneaks like thieves
Nineteen years had passed, I cannot believe
The man who's the reason of all I achieved
Now breathless enclosed in tomb, resting in grave.

Tears to roll down my face, my heart pounds fast
Picturesque memories shared with him flashed
We can't deny father and daughter do clashed
But respect will always stay, love abounds, lushed.

Here I am offers you nothing but pray'rs
Gratefulness overflows, streams like river
Words may not enough to express - to me you're dear
But heaven knows to you how much i revere

Father, on your birthday, candles I lay
May these bring gladness and light your way
To the God Almighty I ardently pray
Your soul in his loving arms rest peacefully.

Dedicated to my father Guillermo for his 81st birthday
