Father And Child Poem by Paul Sebastian

Father And Child

Rating: 4.5

A row before me, a young man sat
Newly born Infant in arms of dad
Cradling, rocking his child to sleep
Father starring at the infant, asleep

Joy-filled faced, eyes glued on child's face
A thousand thoughts must have raced
Oblivious to those around watching him
Father and child, a beauty in perfect beam

Pride in his arms, fatherhood begotten
Duty-borne, new perspective, new horizon
Child, fruit of love's wonder, family is born
Welcome dawn: Two sides of families, bond

Child of the universe, by miracle birth
To pro-creators, God's precious love gift
Each child grows up to be a bright new star
A child, a generation, mankind seen from afar
