Fate Says Poem by Dean Meredith

Fate Says

You're holding this card
Because fate says connect
I warn you early
I am not for the fainthearted
But drink me up if you can
For I am to be drunk
High to low
To the bottom
And beyond
Do I blame thee?
Partly...
But not for all
I am
I have free will
In my cage
Welding in a new bar each day
The fire keeps me warm, on my toes
Can't forget her face
Can't forget her face
Take everything from me
But not that
Let me keep an image
The sweetest, eyes down, cutest smile
Would ever dare step out
In this cavern of wolves
