Farewell My Lover Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Farewell My Lover

Rating: 4.5

Of the powers in their mouths and in their tails,
For they are similar as the serpents!
So, do not defraud anyone.
Farewell my lover,
And cling onto your new lover;
For the wages of sin is death.

Aaron died at mount Hor but,
I will always remember you;
For one day, somebody will pay you in your own coins.
You are like a long piece of land in the bush but,
My mind will always lead me on to Shechem;
Like your god Chemosh.

Whatever Father Yahweh does is right,
And whatever He gives us is what we will posses;
So, farewell my lover.
As the dew falls on the ground,
So was my love for you;
And like the sand of the seashore,
I will always remember you
