Farewell Poem by guillermo veloso

Farewell

So yes once we were lovers
So yes I call you love
So capricious life
Has cast its dice and
Now we part
Now we leave a single rose, bloomed in love's light
Now we share her fragrance
So a final toast
So to a dance well danced
So to horizons that beckon like sirens
Let these breezes sing for us
Life and life will not forgive
