Fanaticism - Poem by douglas scotney

Acting on thought
it lops the leaves
of sensuous trees,
infusing to thought their sense,
then keeps on the boil its now sensuous thought
by picking leaves
from less sensitive trees;
thought ruined by contact with trees.
