False Suicide Poem by Brittany Marsh

False Suicide

Her numerous sorrows
drained her sanity
until none was left
so she made some orders
got some perscriptions
and forgot her future
while pondering how to help herself
horror struck her face
what had she become?
all her options became her end

pills for 'happiness'
gun for 'protection'

even though those weren't her intentions
nobody mentioned, despite her secrecy
how much they really cared
maybe she didn't need her life to end
maybe she's better off without him

him

he left her
so bitter, so alone
he that wasn't worth a minute of her time

him

all her sorrows
drained her sanity
until she drove herself insane
she cancelled all the orders
forgot about the perscriptions
and only lived for today
