Brittany Marsh Poems

You don't realize that it's happened
until it's all said and done
You say it's just a joke
Your just having some harmless fun
...

2.

Daddy why are you home so late
You promised earlier hours
You smell of alcohol and sadness
Why can't I help you?
...

I wish i knew my purpose
Why i was put on earth
Why my mother gave me up
Soon after my birth
...

As i looked into your eyes
I could see the fire no longer there
It seemed to me that you
No longer wanted to care
...

She looks good in color.
She looks to break your will
She looks so pure in white
& she looks like she could kill
...

i know, my love
im addicted to words
and everything i say is barely a whisper
but i scream for attention
...

forgive you?
I can't
memories pick me apart
limb by limb
...

Her numerous sorrows
drained her sanity
until none was left
so she made some orders
...

keep walking

walking
...

Flailing arms,
burning coffins,
mirrored lives of those forgotten.
...

11.

Madmen who twitch
search for the stitch
to open and create bigger gashes.
...

Dry, dead leaves
dance past my feet
with happiness I lack.
Jealousy flows through my veins.
...

My rage,
my lies.
I keep it all inside,
You hate,
...

Sitting here for far too long.
4 days, I know,
dont be alarmed.
Shamefully applying scars.
...

15.

He's drawn to desire.
She ignites the fire.
Vanity's dressed in a mess.
Streaked eyeliner and a bloodstained wedding dress.
...

These broken communication lines
try to mend themselves.
Still, all that's heard are broken words and static waves.
Hours go by, no words are exchanged.
...

Im trapped in a world where my limbs are stuck,
my eyes are frozen.
Where'd I get this luck?
Some music affects me.
...

Dearest somber musician,
play me that overplayed tune of anguish.
Use the strings of your heart
and be careful not to break the connections,
...

yeah i messed up
my heart aches in guilt
all of my throughts are of her
making this change
...

You set off my radar
but I hide myself from your sight.
I hide amongst the shadowed doorways
afraid to attempt to make things right.

Brittany Marsh Biography

I've been abused my whole life, my poems reflect that. I'm a lesbian. Theres a few about guys in there, but... people change. Im young and know a lot of my surroundings, not that they're any good of course. I want someone there to understand what this all means one day. You wont.)

The Best Poem Of Brittany Marsh

Realization

You don't realize that it's happened
until it's all said and done
You say it's just a joke
Your just having some harmless fun
Then later it just hits you
That you really hit somone hard
You realized that you played the deck
And picked the lowest card
Whats said is said, done is done
You can never take it all back
The love and trust that was
May very well lack
There is a lesson in this poem
This very poem im writing
It's to end the grief we cause
The hating and fighting
It's to put yourself where they are
To feel the hurt they feel
It's to mend their pain inside
And to help their heavy heart heal
