Falling Poem by Maurice Rowlands

Falling

Take your aim
Shoot me down with an arrow
I am falling
From the top of the tower
Only gravity has the power
I am falling

Take the doll
Break it into pieces
Throw it down
From the top of the tower
I am falling

Take your shot
Chase me down across the battle field
I have no knowledge of who our King or Queen is
Of these lands
Throw me down
I am falling

Take a moment
Brush away the broken glass
Dust yourself down
Only gravity can pull your frown
From the top of the tower
Only you can reverse that power

Listen deeply
To what your inner strength is calling
Just never ever say the words

“I am falling”
