Falling Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

Falling

Waking up and walking on
And falling down and getting up
To walk on again
Only to fall once more
Hoisting ourselves up to continue the struggle
Only that much more determined to stay on our feet
But the moment we decide this the faster we fall
And the harder it is to get back up
We walk a few steps and tumble down
Unwilling to get back up
What is the point?
We’ll only fall again
I lie there in despair
Tears leaking from my eyes
But then I see a hand extended above me
And a smiling face looking down on me
I take the hand and am pulled to my feet
We walk along not falling quite so much
Letting go and not thinking
Laughing and having fun
Skipping easily over the bumps in the road
You brought a ray of sun into my life
And taught me that we will always fall
We just have to learn to pick ourselves up.
