Fall Of The Edge Poem by Steven Harris

Fall Of The Edge

Theres no good just sitting in this hole wondering
no good looking out the window and wondering
get up and take the chance
go into the sunlight and take the chance
let life hit you full force in the face
get that big hand print on your cheek
no good sitting there thinking what could be
make it easy and do it
forget about being scared
forget about the fear
get yourself out of the bed and go over the edge
tip toeing on the corner will never do anything for you
get up and walk over it
fall off the edge
fall 1000 ft off the edge
hit the rocks at the bottom
let the sea take you out to a strange place
when you get there everything will be fine
you will wonder why you were so scared
the fall is the most scarey
but once you hit
and with a thousand cuts and bruises you can raise a hand
you can hit your fist to the sky and say you did it
it might not last
you might fail
but sitting around wondering wont do anything
so come on son, get yourself out of the bed and fall off the edge
one deep breath, it's ok, lets all fall off the edge.
