Fakir's Rosary Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir's Rosary

In a city where dreams soar high as the skies,
Aarif lives with the divine in his eyes.
Amidst the buzz, his calm was his feat,
In names of God, his day was replete.

Tech was his trade, but peace was his quest,
In modern confines, his spirit found rest.
A cafe by the sea, with plants overhead,
Here, with his journal, his soul was fed.

Names like waves, on his spirit did play,
Cleansing his thoughts, washing dust away.
Around him voices, a gentle hum,
In simple exchanges, the sacred would come.

An old lady's words, like a soft sea breeze,
'It's the names that give our hearts ease.'
With a smile, Aarif then knew,
In every simple name, the divine he'd view.

As he stepped from the cafe, back to his sphere,
In his heart he carried what was most dear.
A city of tech, under skies so grand,
Yet in each name, he'd touch God's hand.
