Fair Sailing Poem by Nicholas Emmanuel

Fair Sailing

I've set this heart a blaze and you bled it dry.I gave you my world. I gave you my life. If I would have given you the sky. You would have never left the ground. Instead you counted the stars with so many around. And now you look so different. You're just not the same. You manipulate and lie, You have no shame. I hope you are happy with all that you've done. I hope you realize now that I am forever gone. No one is perfect and I am not without fault. If you would have given me time, we could have figured this out. But instead you demanded forgiveness that my heart couldnt allow. I didn't know what to do? I just couldn't see you the same. I dont know what hurt more the betrayal or the shame? And if this poem ever reaches you I just want you to know. I would have loved you forever. We could have stolen the show. So this is my final curtain call it's now the end of the show. Fair sailing honey. But now I've got to go.
