Fading Into Shadows Poem by Michael Bisson

Fading Into Shadows

When I look at others shadows
seeming firm with solid lines
While mine it looks diminished
Combining with the light

Am I light or darkness
My enemy is time
I'm losing sense of feeling
With every passing night

Overcome by footsteps
The tapping rules my mind
I seek for total silence
But for rules I must abide

Tangled up in a sea of morales
one flick can cause a tide
I hinder thoughts of gladness
I'm told, a weakness I must hide

Fading into shadows
Fading into time
I'm numb
I have no feelings
You tell me
I'll be fine

You look but do not bother
You do not see what's mine
A soul that feels diminished
you robbed because it shined
