Fade Poem by Liz Annson

Fade

If nobody knows
If nobody feels
If nobody cares
Am I really here?

If nobody knew I existed,
Locked in a cage my whole life
Burning within my existence
Would I really exist?

Or would I fade away?

Like a dropp of water,
Evaporating in a noonday sun
Disappearing so rapid
That nobody notices,

Would I dry up?
If nobody cared
I don't know if I could survive
I don't think I would want to.

At least I have you

So for now, I will still be here
I will not disappear
Remaining in this place
Though dark and far away
My thoughts will stay

{sorry; this wasn't very good. I just needed to write something.}
