It wasn't his life that kept his story alive
only his extravagant heart that made him a legend
he wasn't the first romantic dreamer who fell in love
but his unique passion created beauty in his poetic words
Did he try to clone Shakespeare's life and revive
the unforgettable sonnets just to defend
an era of romance which was given a severe shove?
Did he deserve to receive some sort of special awards?
his words never searched for a shelter to survive
he was a mere lover who had no intention to offend
eternal verses that flew over centuries like a dove
simply his sentimental feelings played together emotional chords
