Exegesis Poem by Hestill Lives

Exegesis

If you listen to all the poems
feel all of what they mean
If you read all Holy books
and rend them underfoot
take all my sacred words
I reserved for life
render them all words of death
or something very trite
you perform an exi-a-Jesus
leaving him behind
making him no meaning
making sacrifice a joke

Trouble is you've missed
it
though you know every
word
Jesus is a way....a road
a man....the God of very God
though no one knows
being 'that'
or if the that is
flat
Knowing is a form of going
or a better form of knot
for if you dare to ask me why?
or call me hypocrite
I'll tell you I'm no actor
I'm under no dispute
I'm rolling in the punches
where the water turns to wine
I'm just a tiny speck...a man
connected to divine
