In our society a woman lives like a tongue
Among thirty two teeth,
We look at the iron bars of windows
We listen to her suffocated breath,
We pass by leaving it on the sky,
The skies take action somewhere at a too high para mount,
The Angles of revenge take a lot of time to fly.
Meanwhile the evidence, if any, is washed out.
The skies first grant bails to the accused,
Managed by a clever satanic advocate,
Laws are there but only to be abused,
Oh God! You saw her murder yet you are too late!
A woman is murdered and made silent forever,
There is no evidence, can we get evidence, no never!
The story of a court of law and that's all about,
The accused will be given the benefit of doubt.
Powerful and poignant poem. So very sad to know that there are stilk societies that abuse the rights of women treating them like rags. A well expressed poem from the pen of a great man who loves humanity.
