Everyone's Task Poem by Donal Mahoney

Everyone's Task

We're all salmon
swimming upstream
until the job's done.

Some of us know it
and some of us don't.
Some swim far

and some don't.
It doesn't matter
because in the end

we're all salmon
swimming upstream
until the job's done.
